Just Married

Thank you to everyone who offered congratulations on my marriage to Hannah. The ceremony was completed at 3.30 pm, here in Sheffield, Alabama, at the family home.

It's unusual for a marriage ceremony to feature Extreme Unction and for everyone to go home happily, but there you go, perhaps a unique event.

Here I am on my wedding day, flanked by Willie and Billie, two fine Southern gentlemen.

Now there's dedication.

well, i sneaked away into the room with the annoying macaw (TOOT! TOOT!), i had to have some peace and quiet - it has all been one long stress that ended in tears and my lips going inexplicably dry.

aw... that's about the cutest thing i've seen come out of Alabama for awhile now.

Congratulations on weathering the wedding; i don't think anyone really warns men how difficult the actual ceremony is going to be.

But remember; although it's traditional to cry at weddings, it's rather bad form for the crying to be done by the groom.

Recipes for parrot stew en route.

Jason,
congratulations! I am at work and just sneaked away to see whether there were any EU-news on Mr.Kennedy's big day! Did you dye your hair? A wedding present is on its way, but America's a long way so patience please! I wish you and your wife all the best!

Heiko! thanks. no, my hair isn't dyed, it's just shining. and i had to correct the colors in the photo, but that is basically me right now.

i feel great today. the weather is finally sorting itself out, and i am now super-enthused.
